Many residents of Greensboro drive through the High Point community on a regular basis. Naturally, they do so hoping that their journeys with be safe ones. Unfortunately, that did not prove to be the case for the individuals involved in a cataclysmic car crash in High Point recently.

The crash occurred near White’s International Trucks, which is located at 1924 Brentwood Street close to the Interstate 85 Business South’ exit and entrance ramp. High Point police officers responded to the crash around 7:51 a.m. Tuesday morning. They reported that three vehicles were involved in the crash. One of those vehicles was a white SUV whose driver and only occupant was killed in the accident.

The other wrecked vehicles were a silver SUV and a blue SUV. The silver SUV had only the driver inside and the blue SUV had a driver and two passengers. All four of those people had serious injuries, though none were thought to be life-threatening. The injured were taken to a local hospital and treated.

Police said that they believe that speed was likely a factor in the accident. They also suspect that the driver of the blue SUV may have run a red light. If so, that may very well affect the actions of authorities towards anyone deemed responsible for the accident.

It may also affect the decisions made by those who were in the accident but who neither caused nor contributed to it and the survivors of the driver who was killed regarding the legal actions they may choose to pursue. Auto accidents like this illustrate the need for care at all times on North Carolina roads.
