PBA Member Named To Million Dollar Advocates Forum
Attorney R Steve Bowden, of Greensboro, NC, has been certified as a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, the most prestigious group of trial lawyers in the United States. A Campbell alumnus, Bowden is a member of Campbell University’s Presidential Board of Advisors.
Membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum is limited to attorneys who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts, awards, and settlements. The organization was founded in 1993 and boasts a membership of 2,500 nationally. Forum membership recognizes excellence in advocacy and provides members with a national network of experienced colleagues for professional referral and information exchange in major cases. Members must have acted as principal counsel in at least one case in which their client has received a verdict, award, or settlement in the amount of one million dollars or more.
Bowden received an undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University in 1972 and graduated from Campbell’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 1979. He is the owner of R Steve Bowden & Associates PC law firm in Greensboro.
Bowden serves as president of the North Carolina Association of Black Lawyers Foundation and is a member of the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina. He also serves On the North Carolina Chiropractic Examiners Licensing Board and is chairman of the George C. Simkins Jr. Memorial Political Action Committee (PAC).
Bowden has received numerous honors and awards, including the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Service Award and Campbell University’ s Presidential Medallion. He is a former member of the Wake Forest University Alumni Council and served as chairman of the council’s Education Committee.
